From the table of contents dialog box, select: • Bookmarks to create a new bookmark. • Bookmarks group to select how you want the data table to display (see example below). Then, add more than one book to that group by clicking their names (see illustration above). • Page number to include in the group's page numbering order. • Table view to specify a table view to use (use with or without page numbers), see illustration (below) for example. The table of contents shows in two ways: • An enlarged table of contents. • A table of contents with a page number. You can also use tabbed layout for a table of contents: • Create a table of contents for a book. Click the View button > Create Table of Contents. • Create a new page and select “Table of Contents” from its drop-down menu, as shown in illustration below. To use the TOC feature, you must open a PDF document to insert bookmarks into it. You can open a PDF document by clicking on its title. Creating and Editing Multi-Page PDF Documents You can use the Multipage PDF panel to create multiple PDF documents from many pages. It will automatically create them when you save the document. If you wish to insert a separate TOC for each of the pages in a document, do not include them in the Table of Contents when the document is open. To create multiple bookmarks on the same page in the document, click on the TOC icon that is on the same side of each folder in the file. This is the same tool that is used when creating nested folders in the document. Create a TOC for each book (including a TOC for each nested folder). You can use the TOC panel to insert multi-page bookmarks into your files.
