How To Start Page Numbers On Page 3 In Word 2023 Mac: What You Should Know

I normally choose the latter, but if you want the numbers to start from a specific page, please follow the rules given in a previous paragraph. Select Your Target Page. Select Page Count and in the lower right corner of the Header & Footer tab, select the Numbering column. Choose your target page as shown below. In this example, I have chosen Page 8 (the first page) to start numbering. Page Numbers starting from a specific page (e.g. from Page 8) Using the first page as a Start Page Number In the header or footer area, you should see a label on the first page that says First Page Header. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit. If you still have the page header in the document, double-click it from the toolbar and click Page Number. Step 3: Add page number, image or graphic To mark a page or insert a logo or graphic, you must have a template. Microsoft provides an easy way to customize that template when you create one in Microsoft Word. For your templates to work properly, you must edit the template, and select only the page number you need for your template. If you do not do this, you may get formatting errors. Click Add New Template and click Next. Select the number of pages you need and save. In my case, I have selected 15, since I have all pages on the left in the table above. For the template to look correct, it must have your starting number followed with each page number. In order to make this work in the best way possible, you must know how to create new templates and how to edit them. Click on the Add New Template tab and click Next. Select your template, make sure that the page number you are working on is correct and enter the template name to name it. Click Next. Choose the page number you want to work on and press Next again.
