Try buying them legally! Downloading from a torrent takes away the right to control the making of copies, and that’s the only way most authors can make money from the work that t put into creating the book you clearly want to read. That’s not fair, it’s not right, and it’s short-sighted in the extreme. These authors are almost always poor. The people that helped them publish the book (editors, and so on, are always badly paid, because publishers, including self-publishing authors, make so little money from any book). You can side load books into almost any reader’s library. But you’ll need to look up the instructions for your reader program specifically.
Many of the authors I know who side load books have not received any compensation whatsoever, and they can't even tell how many copies they have purchased. When my parents told me about these types of book deals, at best they gave me the basic idea on how they worked; sometimes they just told me that they didn’t approve of this practice any more than I did myself at the time, and they had no plans to publish another book like that, and told me never to give any information about my own book to anyone who might be interested. I hope you never have to run into something like this, and I hope, if you do, you can help me find out what happened to this book, and where you can get a copy, so you don’t have to give it to the bad guys. The only.
