Their are approximately 1.9million people left out on NRC. It is evident such a large number of people can not be put in persons. Out of this 1.9 people, 0.4 people didn't even apply of NRC. Remaining people have the option to appeal before foreigner tribunal followed by High Court and Supreme court. Hence it is a long drawn pattern for such people. It is fact that such a large number of people can also not be deported to Bangladesh because Bangladesh has already refused to take this people back and Bangladesh is a friendly country to infia. Indian government would not like to distrub it's realtion with Bangladesh at this juncture.there is one possibility that this people may loose there voting right and other social security benefits in assam, and still continue to live there.
We hope government will take this into consideration to deport such people. It is clear that we need to find suitable political solution to this problem for the citizens. If one party agrees with our stand, then we will accept it. But this political consensus cannot be based on discrimination against the people from Nariarathibha tribe, and they should be given preferential treatment as per their voting right (a constitutional guarantee). I want to stress once more that this petition is against the policy of the government so don't be surprised that we are filing the petition at this time of year. Thank you for understanding. Mr.
