What Software Do You Wish Existed?
This is kind of a random idea, but a software that could help with doing computer work, whatever your job. So my theoretical software is an infinite workspace. It has some basic features, like pinning, notes, strings to attach notes, co-op, some special things in the toolbar, that kind of stuff. But you could also drag and drop files into your workspace to access them. And make shortcuts. And a Google result sorting alg that can run multiple searches at once to fill a table, AND ACTUALLY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR. And also some things Excel has like automatic arithmetic and pattern generating. Like a cocktail of all the features of things like LucidSpark, Excel, Jamboard, Notability… Ok, ok. So, you can also run commands, and also, make your own little algorithms that do some work for you like converting files, running numbers and getting data. This could be incredibly useful as computers can run numbers, gather basic data and turn one visual image into another, without placement and 100% accuracy, hundreds of times per second. Rather than switching between 6 tabs to see how expensive that lightbulb is. (My mom works for a lighting company). So that is my idea.

What is the purpose of having multiple windows? It allows us to use multiple desktops — one for each task. My computer does not have multiple windows, so this isn't a valid reason to use one over another. My computer has multiple monitors, so this isn't a valid reason to use one over another. You can view tabs from one window and even go back to your previous views. This adds an attractive dimension to Windows — even though it's relatively uncommon. I really like this feature. Microsoft has already done it, and everyone has used it. This is an easy feature to use. I can easily create a separate desktop for each program I use. Windows is designed so that all programs, even program windows don't interfere with other windows. Each window is self-contained. Windows also works well when you're watching a video in full screen mode. Windows does not.
