Which Publishing House Is Good If I Have Only 200 Usd And I Want To?
A traditional publisher doesn’t charge you one penny. That’s what makes them a traditional publisher. T choose based on quality and marketability pay for everything for you, cover, editing and promotion (although not much promotion if you are a new author and that’s something you may have to pay for to get anywhere. ) T pay for everything upfront and NEVER ask authors for money and then t pay YOU. But t often take 75% of the profits and between 90 to 94% of the print profits to get their money back. Their focus in on selling your book to make back their money. VANITY publishers that offer you an expensive “package” for $700 plus or often thousands make their money from getting you to pay them and don’t care about selling your book since thy get the money from you so t are a complete scam. Many people spend thousands for vanity publishing only to never sell one copy it is a scam to avoided like the plague. Self publishing is not a scam if you hire reputable people to make your covers etc… and upload your book to the platforms yourself. If you are asking how much the publisher pays up front that’s probably “how long is a piece of string” t have to pay for cover artist, editor, formatting and promotion but would pay different vastly different amounts depending on what kind of publisher t are and what kind of product t’re producing.
