Enter your page number in this box (click Enter or {smaller”page numbering online”}).5. Click the Check button, and when you click the Save button, you will see a dialog like the followingpage numbering online6. Then click OK. 7. Then you can add the page numbers to the PDF to which you have opened the PDF from step 2. If you are using Windows, double-check you selected all the right links to ensure the browser opens correctly. Windows does not understand the links that are at the bottom of this page. It may be helpful to open the PDF one page at a time. It makes the process easier. 8. You can edit the page numbers by right-clicking the PDF in your file manager's menu bar and, at the bottom, clicking Edit. This will bring up the page numbers for that page. Page numbering from a Word or PowerPoint file is similar. You simply insert a number (at the bottom of your document, not at the top) and then click Edit. This might work well as long as the word and PowerPoint names are unique, however your word and PowerPoint names do not need to be the same. Note that Excel 2007 and above only recognize number ranges of 1 through 9. Page numbers are not recognized by these version of Excel. As long as the PDF contains only 10 pages and have numbered their pages, you can open the PDF file and then copy and paste a page number into Excel 2007 to see a simple example of page numbering. 9. Click the OK button, and the changes made to the PDF file will be saved. Now you can paste the page back into the PDF. You can also use the File > Save As window in your file manager. This will take the name of the file that you are saving, and paste it in Filler. 10. Now, when you open this Word or PowerPoint file, the page numbers will go as the page numbers in your PDF. 11. To insert page numbers manually, go to the tools menu, Click edit→“Page and select the page. Then, go to the tools Menu again and Click edit→page_Link. How to Insert Page Number at the Beginning of the Paper As in past versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office has a bug in which if you have not yet converted a PDF to Word (not recommended, but necessary), the first page does not contain any page numbers. If you are converting a PDF to Word or vice-versa, you must do a complete conversion to keep the PDF document in Word format. To do this, follow the steps outlined below and then do the same for your PDF. In some cases, you will need to convert your document to HTML (preferably as well) to get the desired formatting in Word. Make a copy of your PDF (click file→Make a copy). In Windows Explorer, navigate to your PDF document and then click desktop. Next to your document, click view. You will see your document on your Desktop. DoubleClick on your Desktop to see more ways to open the same PDF document. Click the PDF file icon in the folder tree on top of your Desktop. In the main sidebar, click edit or options (it looks like a book on page 4). Click advanced (it looks like a tree on page 4). Click the view button (it looks like a tree on page 4).
